The coil lives in a pod or tank and is the heart of an e-cigarette as it controls the flavour and clouds (vapour) - it's what is heated to produce the vapour. Without a coil, all vapes are useless.
Some coils are built in to a tank or pod which then makes them disposable, since the whole pod or tank must be replaced when the coil dies.
Most pods and some coils are only suited to a particular device but others, like the Vaporesso GT Coils, are compatible with a number of e-cigarettes.
