The Geek Vape Aegis Boost Plus 40W Pod Mod Kit is the big brother of the famous Aegis Boost Kit that took the Australian vaping community by storm. The Aegis Boost Plus Pod Kit is powered by one 18650 battery and runs on Geek Vape B Series Coils (formerly known as Aegis Boost GV Coils). It also gives vapers the flexibility of using a rebuildable dripping tank atomiser (RDTA) or a 510 tank adapter to vape on any tank. Why is it three in one?
You can use this mod in more ways than just a pod kit. Well, three ways to be exact:
- use the Aegis Boost Plus Pods
- attach the Aegis Boost Plus/Pro RDTA, not to be confused with the Aegis Boost RBA (rebuildable atomiser)
- wack an Aegis Boost Plus/Pro 510 Tank Adapter on it and use your favourite vape tank.
The mod - versatile, adjustable and tough
The Aegis Boost Plus is similar to the Aegis Boost in many ways. One of the most important similarities is they both use the AS Chip, which:
- is one of the smartest in the e-cigarette market
- enables intelligent safety features such as surge and overheat protection
- has super fast and accurate power delivery
- has great battery management
- allows for adjustable wattage, from 5-40W which can help you fine-tune your vape and taste preference.
One main difference between the Boost and Boost Plus is the addition of an external 18650 battery (not included). This gives you almost twice the amount of battery capacity and can see you through over 700 puffs on a single charge. Plus, you can bring back-up batteries with you when you're on the go! You can still charge them through the Boost Plus' micro USB port rather quickly with its up to 1.5 amp current too. Some vapers however prefer to charge their batteries with an external charger for longevity of the battery.
IP67 rating? You got it.
We must mention that like all other Aegis Kits by Geek Vape, this too is IP67 rated, meaning it's water, dust and shock proof. So you don't have to be super gentle with the pod kit but maybe don't let your pet dinosaur play with it. You laugh now but just wait. Pet dinosaurs will be a thing.
It's important to know however that the IP67 rating is only for the mod, not the pod.
The pod - large, simple and also adjustable
The Geek Vape Aegis Boost Plus Pod features a huge 5.5mL vapour e-juice capacity and provides top visibility of your e-liquid level. There's no mucking around with the pod - it's easy to do everything!
- Fill it from the top via a simple and effective top silicone fill port. Easy access even with big 120mL e-liquid bottles.
- Snap it into the device perfectly using a locating tab towards the front of the mod and a secure clip at the rear.
- Adjust the airflow to make your vape loose or tight via the innovative round dial, which perfectly cuts down the airflow without sacrificing flavour.
- Easily replace the Aegis B Series Coils from the bottom of the pod. You read correctly. The Aegis Boost Plus Coils are the same as its brother, the Aegis Boost. Why change them when they are awesome, right?
